48 days and counting.
it’s warmer here in t.o. than it is in vancouver, and venice too. which doesn’t really mean anything, except i might be missing the best summer here yet. people are trying to convince me to stay and at least get some of that gorgeous heat, but the blastoff date is set for before summer takes hold. that is, unless the gamma knife guys want a go at me in june or july.
my head feels like it is stuffed full of cotton batting. apparently i also have the brain capacity of same today as well because i am finding it incredibly difficult to concentrate and it is taking a great deal of effort to think.
yesterday, after brunch with the gang and a stroll through kensington market in the sun–chilled down to about 1 degree by a stern wind–we stopped for a drink at local 69, which turned in a few; pleasantly whiling away a couple of hours as we did the crossword. s. the usual bad influence he is, suggested stopping in to nelsons instead of going straight home. hours later, i am fast friends with Jose and Benicio, our tablemates at O Campino, the Portuguese sports bar just up the street. Jose had to translate for Benicio the finer points of the conversation, even so, I think he understood most of what was said. And so on went the evening. Some music, some dancing and not enough sleep.
i got an email from rogers telling me that i’ve used 75% of my bandwidth for the month. calendar month, billing month. it didn’t really say. i don’t even know what bandwidth i am allowed, because my plan doesn’t exist in the new tier of plans, but i’d sure like to know. come june, rogers will start charging for overages. it’s all moot anyway because we won’t be here, but it will be helpful to know if we start up again with rogers in vancouver. we’re trying to avoid that. ’cause you know, they’re evil.
hot flashes?
